A pianist, Andrea Bacchetti began his career at a young age, following the counsel of some renowned artists including Berio, Siciliani and Horszowski.
His debut in the Verdi Hall of Milan at the age of 11, with the “Solisti Veneti” and C. Scimone, propelled him into a dazzling career, bringing him to some of the most important Italian festivals, and subsequently around the world.
Born in 1977, he obtained numerous scholarships from many prestigious international foundations leading up to his career, such as the Yamaha Music Foundation of London (1990), the Mozarteum of Salzburg (1988-90 Prof.Kammerling, Perticaroli, Dorensky, ecc.), and the Conservatoire National Superieur of Paris (Aboulker/Rosenfeld - 1992).
Finally, in 1994 at the age of 17, Andrea Bacchetti earned his Piano Diploma at the Paganini Conservatory in Genoa with full marks and a special mention from the Cultural Ministry in Rome, a formidable start to his career.
In september 2009, the prestigious BBC Music Magazine chose Andrea’s latest Bach CD as Disc of the Month.
